Observations From
The Lipstick Counter

tender Pink lips gasp and scream
milking the warmth of home
and caressing chance’s cheek

curiously naïve
Rosy lips entwine with others
and kiss mystery’s hand
Rosy lips pose a question

Scarlet lips sip the Earth’s wine
and take a vow
voluptuously luscious
sensuously licentious
Scarlet lips suck on mystery’s neck
with a perpetual lust

pale and chapped
savoring the nectar of yore
and embracing fate’s forehead
Crimson lips allude
                      imply
and whisper of the world’s myths
while puckering a pose

Lavender lips have been kissed
and suppress the universe’s secrets
behind an everlasting seal
